There will be redness for up to 48 hours after the treatment, depending on your skin type. The initial color will appear darker than the “cured”, healed result, which can take up to 3-4 weeks.
We recommend that you avoid sweating until at least five days, then you can sweat lightly, and heavy sweating shouldn’t be a problem by day 10. Keep the treated area clean and dry.
You must avoid physical activity as much as possible. Minimize sweating, no water or soap on the head, and no weightlifting or cardio activities. Moving around the house or office will not pose a risk to your procedure.
You can get your head wet by the third day after your session. At this point, however, we recommend you only splash your head lightly with cool water. Do not put your head directly under the shower for about 5-7 days as some areas of your scalp may still be healing and the pressure of the shower head might be too strong.
You can shave by the fourth day with an electric shaver. You must be gentle while doing this in case the skin is still sensitive and irritated.
You can resume your weightlifting routine a week after the procedure, provided you don’t work up too much of a sweat.
You can resume your cardio routine a 7 - 10 days after the procedure. To prolong the life of your micropigmentation we recommend that you use a minimum of SPF 30 sunblock or higher, or wear a hat when in the sun for longer periods of time.
