Is Scalp Micropigmentation Worth It?

Like anything in life that is permanent, the decision to get SMP must be made from the heart. When you ask yourself if scalp micropigmentation is worth it, ask yourself how balding really makes you feel:

  • Are you proud of the bald spot forming at the back of your head?
  • Do you like wearing a hat all the time? Even indoors?
  • Are you always thinking others look are staring at your thinning hair or bald spot?
  • Are you spending countless time researching different remedies, shampoos, sprays, vitamins, or even hair transplant surgery?

If you answered no to most of these questions then scalp micropigmentation is definitely a procedure worth considering.

How does being bald really make you feel?

Further ask yourself if looking bald makes you happy:

  • Do you feel a rush of anxiety when someone asks you to take off your hat?
  • When somebody attractive looks at you from across the room, do you find yourself thinking if they will still find you handsome when you take your hat off?
  • How about that sinking feeling when a child asks you why you are bald?

As I did more research on baldness and hair loss, I learned that hair loss can lead to depression, anxiety, and social phobia.

The truth about being bald

Depression can lead to a feeling of low mood, lack of interest or pleasure in activities, loss of energy, and sleep deprivation. Anxiety can cause excessive worrying, difficulty in controlling those feelings, and a feeling of heightened tension. I noticed I was experiencing all these feelings simply because there was no solution in sight to end my hair loss. While many don’t think being bald is a big deal, for those who are balding— especially on the younger side, it can slowly but surely chip away at your self-confidence.

Don’t break the bank trying to solve your hair loss: SMP is the answer!

There is also the monetary aspect of it. Are expensive treatments like Rogaine (you have to use it daily for months or even years to notice any results) putting a dent in your pocket? Are you going to your barber regularly just to have him trim a few strands of hair on the top? While there is a cost to scalp micropigmentation, it won’t break the bank compared to hair transplants or hair systems. Scalp micropigmentation will be worth it as there is no other hair loss solution in the market that can give you such an immediate confidence boost. You will see the results even after the 1st session.

Scalp micropigmentation is worth it to help you live life to the fullest again

How you feel about yourself changes the way people perceive you, which will in turn open a world of opportunities. Whether it is that extra confidence boost to ask that person out, or go for that promotion at work. Scalp micropigmentation will benefit your mental health in tremendous ways. If you can rock the look and have it done by a legitimate, experienced technician it is absolutely worth it, will look completely natural and give you more confidence to face the world.

This blog was written by one of my scalp micropigmentation clients. Mark had scalp micropigmentation done a few years ago and still loves the results. He wanted to share his thought process behind getting scalp micropigmentation and why thinks it was worth it.
